Simply
Ingredients
150 g butter
150 g sugar
2 eggs
200 g flour
100 g almond protein (alternatively almond flour)
4 g vanilla sugar
8 g baking powder
4 tbsp applesauce
Milk
Here's how:
Mix butter, sugar and eggs together in a large bowl.
Add flour, almond protein (or almond flour), vanilla sugar and baking powder and mix together again.
Add the applesauce and enough milk so that the dough has a nice smooth consistency after mixing.
Grease the cake tin and sprinkle with semolina.
Pour the batter into the cake tin and bake in the preheated oven at 170 degrees top/bottom heat for about 40 minutes.
Then let it cool down a bit and then remove it from the mold.
Now you can enjoy the cake either plain or decorate it with powdered sugar or chocolate icing and sprinkles as you wish.
Tip:
To determine whether the cake has baked long enough (this can vary greatly between ovens), it's best to do the toothpick test. Insert a wooden toothpick or similar object into the batter and then remove it. If some batter clings to the wooden pick, it needs to bake a little longer.
